ARGHHH!!!!

I've been trying to get a texture object to emit a SUBTLE glow in blender. I've used particles and got this far:


Then I used post processing filters to get this:


I don't seem to be getting much further than this however. ARGGHHHHHH! ;-) Time to go to bed and see what another day brings.
